Jane Laferla RN INP

Jane is an NMC Registered Nurse and Independent Nurse Prescriber who studied at Cardiff University, UWE and Northumbria University.

Jane has over 30 years nursing experience in both the NHS and private sector. In 2008, she established a private aesthetics clinic in Cardiff.  Jane now works fulltime in aesthetics continuing to specialize in the use of botulinum

toxins, dermal fillers and a range of other non-surgical procedures.

Jane is the Regional Lead Nurse for Wales for the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses, a member of the Association of Nurse Prescribing and a member of the ACE Complications Group.

As a qualified and approved NMC Mentor Jane offers training, supervision and mentorship for a range non-surgical aesthetic procedures.

 

Sharron Brown

Sharron Brown is a clinical nurse specialist based at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Since 2001 she has worked with patients with HIV associated facial lipoatrophy.

She has developed a particular interest in the management of facial lipoatrophy as she believes in taking a holistic approach in order to achieve a result that the patient can feel comfortable with both visually and psychologically.

Sharron also works as a specialist nurse in aesthetic medicine and is a founding board member of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN).

Sharron is involved in lecturing, teaching and training and has contributed to scientific publications.She is also joint lead for the BACN’s participation in the NMC revalidation pilot, feedback from the NMC has been very positive about membership input and board support

This year she was a member of the Nuffield Council on Bioethics working party which produced a report “Cosmetic procedures: ethical issues” exploring concerns regarding some aspects of cosmetic procedures and the cosmetic industry.
