You may already know, at the end of August Schuco waved goodbye to Watford and relocated to a new premises just a stone’s throw away in Leavesden. We thought we’d share a little story as to why we chose to move and how things are going in the new office!

Schuco began in the front room of Felix Huttrer’s London home back in 1957. The introduction of the Hyfrecator, amongst other products meant that the company soon expanded and by 1966 it was time to find a bigger office space. Finchley would be the location of Schuco’s 2nd home for the next 47 years. Great times were had as Schuco grew bigger, focusing its attention on skin specifically and creating partnerships with big names in the medical field.

As time went by, technology advanced and the surrounding City of London modernised. Schuco wanted to explore the options of expanding its offering into aesthetics, cosmetic surgery and anti-ageing, so it was time for another move in 2013. The new HQ was in Watford, boasting a fully functioning aesthetics academy. We began to host training sessions and demonstrations on our products, bringing together practitioners, charities and specialists from the industry and further strengthening our product portfolio.

Fast-forward 5 years, we are now the proud residents of a sparkling new office within Warner Bros Studios, Leavesden. So why the move? Keeping up with the dermatology and aesthetics industry is no mean feat and it’s vital that we stay one step ahead of our competitors. This involves adapting to the changing market, restructuring when required and expanding and developing our various departments. The new office not only offers a collaborative space for us to better interact with each other and grow as a company, it opens our doors to more visitors to drop by and see what we do, learn about our products and services and become more involved in the future of Schuco.

Another consideration of our move was that we wanted it to benefit multiple people. Being a family owned business, we have maintained the same core values for over 65 years and have always been keen to support the local community. This is why we took the opportunity to donate our old office furniture to help charities in the local area of The Three Rivers. We hope that you soon start to see the benefits of our move as Schuco advances into its next chapter… and if you’re ever in the local area, be sure to stop by and say hello, we’d love to show you around!
